Music and Lyrics kicks off with an 80s-style Wham-like video of a band called as 'PoP'. Firmly tongue in retro-chic, Hugh Grant is Alex Fletcher, the washed-up has-been now playing the nostalgia circuit for middle-aged housewives. He meets bubbly Sophie Fisher (Drew Barrymore) who waters the plants in his apartment but has a knack for writing lyrics. This saves his day when current pop-diva princess Cora (a so called pop diva, clone of may be Britney or Shakira or alike) who is interested in Buddhism n Thong philosophy based songs showing some of her erotic dance moves....but the time Hugh has is couple of days n he insists that Drew can write for her n make her realize that she has the born poetic abilities which she needs to explore now or its never....
Hugh and Drew propel the movie with energy, wit and a warm, lovable enthusiasm (offcourse not to mention drew's dimples and her sweet smile). the movie definately gives u a feel good experience n one wishes that the love story conrtinues off screne too....i mean that is the impact movie has on its viewers, i dont think there is nyhting lawrence could have expected...
